HANDS ON

TRAINING

YOUR PEOPLE + OUR TRAINING = Local Employment and a Better Economy

One of the supporting services we offer to our International Customers is "Hands On training."  One of our engineers or one of our Trainer/Installers (or a team of  both) will schedule a period of time to demonstrate  to your crew the techniques of erecting a steel frame system. Experienced job supervisors and installers can learn the necessary skills within a few days. After this training, we will continue consulting with you via phone or email as long as you need us.

Training programs are offered in two formats.

Factory training:
This is a 5-day hands on training. It starts with a visit to our factory and continues in one of our warehouses with the erection of a sample small unit. Visiting trainees will learn how to save time and labor with certain tools, how to read shop drawings, how to identify different components and gauges, how to select fasteners for different connections, different fastening and panelizing techniques, etc. Trainers and trainees will have their breakfasts and lunches together provided by us. Dinners will be planned for question-answer discussions if necessary. After the 5-day training period, trainees will be given a certificate of completion. Specialty tools required for this training program will be loaned to the trainees by the training team. While we will provide training expenses and training fees, the customers will provide travel and rooming expenses for the trainers and the trainees.

On the job site training: The duration of the job site training may be as short as 5 days and may be as long as 24 work days or longer depending on the program designed in cooperation with the customer. We will send two or more trainers to the country of the project site. Specialists will train the local contractors and workers while constructing the building packages purchased by the contractor. Specialty tools and equipment required for site training program will be purchased by the customer in advance and will be made available on the job site for the trainers and the trainees.
